1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Tourney Hunter (tourneyhunter.com), operated by Tourney Hunter (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. Description of Service

Tourney Hunter is a hockey tournament directory that aggregates publicly available tournament information from third-party websites. We provide search, filtering, and discovery tools to help users find hockey tournaments. We also offer optional paid services including Pro subscriptions and tournament promotion placements.

3. Tournament Data Accuracy

Tournament information displayed on Tourney Hunter is sourced from third-party organizer websites and is provided “as is.” We make reasonable efforts to keep data current (our automated systems update data multiple times daily), but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any tournament listing. Dates, fees, locations, age divisions, and registration status may change without notice.

Always verify tournament details directly with the tournament organizer before making travel plans, registering, or relying on information displayed on this site.

4. No Guarantee of Availability

We strive to keep Tourney Hunter available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The site may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, server issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses or inconvenience resulting from site downtime.

5. Tournament Promotions

Tournament organizers may purchase promotion placements (“Featured” listings) for $99 per tournament. Promotion terms:

• Promotions are one-time payments processed via Stripe.
• Promotions are active from the time of purchase until the tournament date passes.
• Promotions include a “Featured” badge, priority search placement, and highlighted listing.
• Promotions are non-refundable once the tournament has been promoted on the site.
• We reserve the right to remove promotions that violate these terms or misrepresent tournament information.
• Purchasing a promotion does not guarantee any specific number of views, clicks, or registrations.

6. Pro Subscriptions

Tourney Hunter Pro is an optional paid subscription ($29/year) that provides additional features including saved searches, email alerts, tournament comparison, favorites, and calendar sync. Subscriptions are managed through Stripe and can be canceled at any time through your account page or by contacting support@tourneyhunter.com.

7. User Accounts and Email Subscriptions

By creating an account or subscribing to our email digest, you agree to receive communications from Tourney Hunter including tournament alerts, digest emails, and service-related notices. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email. Account-related communications (password resets, billing notices) cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or redistribute data from Tourney Hunter without our written permission.
• Submit false or misleading tournament information.
• Attempt to access administrative areas or other users' accounts.
• Use the site for any illegal purpose.
• Interfere with the operation or security of the site.

9. Intellectual Property

The Tourney Hunter name, logo, site design, and original content are the property of Tourney Hunter. Tournament data is sourced from publicly available third-party websites and is displayed for informational purposes. Tournament names, organizer names, and related trademarks belong to their respective owners.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tourney Hunter and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Tourney Hunter, including but not limited to:

• Inaccurate or outdated tournament information.
• Site downtime or unavailability.
• Failed tournament registrations based on information from our site.
• Travel plans made based on tournament listings that changed or were canceled.
• Loss of promotion value due to site issues or low traffic.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tourney Hunter from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the site, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third party's rights.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes take effect when posted to this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when changes are made.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New Hampshire.
